Identity Verification
The issuance of an electronic ID (eID) at the “high” security level is subject to several national and European regulations designed to ensure high trust, secure authentication, and the protection of personal data. Therefore, during the identity verification process, Buypass must be able to document that the ID has been issued to the correct person.
To complete the identity verification when ordering a Buypass ID, you must have a valid ID document and a smartphone. During the ordering process, you will be asked to download theID Verifier app from IN Group.
ID Document
Accepted ID documents:
- Passport
- National ID card
The ID document must be machine-readable.
If you have a foreign ID document, it must be linked to your Norwegian national identity number (fødselsnummer) or D-number through a lookup in the National Population Register (Folkeregisteret). The national identity number from your ID document must therefore be registered in the Folkeregisteret for your identity to be verified.
