Unlocking the PIN code on smart cards can be done in our self-service solution. In self-service, you can set a new PIN code using PUK code, Buypass ID in mobile or Bank ID.
- Insert the blocked smart card into the card reader and go to Self-service
- Select the desired method of unblocking your smartcard and follow the instructions.
Self-service requires installation of Javafree to be able to communicate with the card.
If you do not have access to a Buypass ID in mobile, Bank ID or your PUK code, please contact Customer support.
If you have an offline solution and cannot access our self-service solution, use one of these methods:

User of Helsenett with NetID
- Insert the smart card into the card reader
- Go to the Start-menu on your computer, choose Alle programmer
- Choose the folder NetID
- Start the program Administrasjon
- Click on your name on the top and choose Lås opp sikkerthetskoden
- Choose Lås opp med opplåsningskoden
- Enter your PUK code (8 digits) and the new PIN code
- Insert the smart card into the card reader

- Insert the smart card into the card reader
- Go to the Start-menu on your PC, choose Alle programmer
- Choose the folder
Buypass Access - Start the program Administrasjon
- Choose Aktivitet from the toolbar
- Click on Lås opp sikkerhetskoden and choose (BEID)
- Choose Lås opp med opplåsningskode
Enter your PUK code (8 digits) and the new PIN code
- Insert the smart card into the card reader

I have an employee card with Buypass ID
Contact the authority that issued the card/employer. They will help you unblock the card and set a new PIN code i Buypass Access Manager.
