Buypass ID on Smart Card is inactive when sent from Buypass. To start using the card, you must activate it by identifying yourself with Buypass ID in Mobile.
Activation of the smart card requires Buypass Javafri to be installed on your computer. A guidance document is available here
I do not have Buypass ID in Mobile
If you do not already have Buypass ID in Mobile, it will be issued during the activation of the smart card. You must download and activate the Buypass ID app before activating the smart card
I have Buypass ID in Mobile
Go to buypass.no/aktiver to start the activation of your smart card.
Click Activate Smart Card and enter your national identity number.
Open the Buypass ID app and approve the identification by clicking Continue. If you have not previously used Buypass ID on mobile, you may need to identify yourself twice.
Your smart card will now be activated, and you will be asked to set your desired PIN code.
Note: Because the PIN code is set by the user during activation, no PIN mailer is sent with the smart card.
