Enterprise ID
Buypass's enterprise certificate is an electronic certificate that identifies an enterprise, securing electronic communication in and out of the company or organisation. An enterprise certificate can be combined with a personal electronic ID for company employees.
A Buypass enterprise certificate identifies the company or organisation and contains information as name and organisation number. The information in the certificate is taken from the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities in Brønnøysund.
An enterprise certificate is typically installed on a server, e.g. in a communications solution in a hospital or in a doctor's
office and is used to sign and encrypt/decrypt electronic messages (e.g. summaries of case records, sick leave forms and e-prescriptions).
Buypass Access gives third-party applications access to certificates on Buypass Smart Cards for secure identification, encryption
and signatures. Buypass Access supports Microsoft's standard cryptographic interface (MS CAPI) or PKCS#11.
